Why We’re Building More Than Just Hair Products
When I created AMBRA, I wasn’t trying to build another haircare brand.
I was trying to solve a problem I’ve seen every single day for nearly 15 years behind the chair.
As a hairstylist, salon owner, and someone with fine hair myself, I’ve spent years searching for products that deliver luxury results without leaving hair heavy, greasy, or overloaded with product. Time and time again, I found myself disappointed.
The beauty industry loves to tell people with fine hair that the answer is volume. More volume. More texture. More dry shampoo.
But what if you don’t want crispy hair?
What if you want soft, healthy, glossy hair that still feels like hair?
That’s where AMBRA began.
Our first product, Seta Glass Mist, was created to give hair that expensive-looking shine without the heavy oils and weight that fine hair often can’t tolerate. It’s become a staple both in my salon and in my own routine.
But Seta Glass Mist was only the beginning.
Over the coming months, we’re expanding the collection with products designed specifically for people who have often been overlooked by luxury haircare brands.
Products for:
• Fine hair that gets weighed down easily
• Oily scalps with dry ends
• Hair extensions that need special care
• People who want softness, shine, and healthy-looking hair without sacrificing movement
Every product starts the same way.
Not in a boardroom.
Not in a marketing meeting.
But behind the chair.
It starts with real clients, real hair concerns, and real frustrations I’ve heard hundreds of times throughout my career.
The products currently in development are designed to work together, creating a simple routine that enhances your hair rather than overwhelming it.
My goal isn’t to create dozens of products for the sake of it.
My goal is to create products you’ll actually finish.
Products you’ll repurchase because they genuinely work.
Products that make your hair look expensive, healthy, and effortlessly beautiful.
AMBRA is still a small, self-funded business. Every product is carefully developed, tested daily in the salon, and refined until I’m confident it deserves a place in your routine.
Thank you for supporting this journey from the beginning.
The best is still to come.

The Best Haircare Products for Fine Hair That Won't Weigh It Down
It All Begins Here
If you have fine hair, you'll know the struggle.
One minute you've washed and styled it, and the next it's flat, greasy-looking and clinging to your scalp. Most luxury haircare products promise hydration, shine and smoothness, but for fine hair types, they often deliver something else entirely: weight.
As someone with naturally fine hair and an oily scalp, I've spent years searching for products that actually work. Not products that make my hair feel coated, sticky or heavy. Not products that leave my extensions looking separated or greasy. Just products that make hair look expensive, healthy and polished without sacrificing volume.
That's exactly why I created AMBRA.
Why Fine Hair Needs Different Haircare
Fine hair isn't necessarily thin hair.
You can have a lot of hair strands and still have fine hair. The problem is that fine strands become overwhelmed very easily. Rich oils, heavy creams and overly conditioning formulas can flatten the hair instantly.
Common concerns I see daily in the salon include:
Hair becoming greasy within 24 hours
Lack of volume at the roots
Limp styling that won't hold
Extensions becoming separated by heavy products
Ends looking dry while the scalp becomes oily
The reality is that most products are designed for medium to coarse hair types. Fine hair needs a completely different approach.
The Biggest Mistake People Make
The biggest misconception is that shine comes from oil.
In reality, many shine products simply sit on the surface of the hair, coating it heavily. While this can look good initially, fine hair quickly loses movement and volume.
Instead of adding more oil, I prefer products that enhance the hair's natural shine while remaining weightless.
Why I Created Seta Glass Mist
AMBRA Seta Glass Mist was developed after years of frustration with traditional shine products.
Working with fine hair clients and extension wearers every day, I found that most shine sprays were either too greasy, too heavy or left hair feeling coated.
Seta Glass Mist was designed to give hair that soft, expensive-looking shine usually only achieved in salon while remaining completely weightless.
Unlike traditional oils, it won't:
Leave hair greasy
Flatten volume
Separate extension rows
Make fine hair look dirty faster
Instead, it creates a smooth, reflective finish that works beautifully on both natural hair and extensions.
Fine Hair and Oily Scalps
Having an oily scalp doesn't mean your hair doesn't need care.
In fact, many people over-wash or avoid conditioning altogether because they're worried about greasiness.
The key is choosing lightweight products that nourish the lengths without overloading the roots.
I always recommend:
Lightweight cleansing products
Conditioning from mid-lengths to ends only
Avoiding heavy oils at the scalp
Using weightless shine products instead of serums
Hair Extensions and Fine Hair
Many people with fine hair assume extensions aren't for them.
The truth is that the right extension method can completely transform fine hair, adding density and fullness without looking obvious.
However, extension wearers need to be especially careful with product choice.
Heavy oils can cause extensions to separate, appear stringy and lose movement. Lightweight products help maintain softness and shine without affecting the blend.
That's one of the reasons Seta Glass Mist has become a staple in my salon. It works beautifully on both natural hair and extensions without causing buildup.
My Go-To Fine Hair Routine
If your hair is fine, oily or extension-wearing, my ideal routine is simple:
Cleanse thoroughly.
Condition only where needed.
Apply Seta Glass Mist to damp hair before blow-drying.
Blow-dry with tension for smoothness and volume.
Apply a light mist to dry hair before styling for added shine.
The result is soft, glossy hair that still feels like hair.
Because luxury haircare shouldn't come at the expense of movement, volume or wearability.
How to Achieve Glass Hair Without Heavy Oils
It All Begins Here
Glass hair has become one of the biggest beauty trends in recent years.
Smooth. Reflective. Polished. Effortlessly expensive-looking.
The problem?
Most people are trying to achieve it by piling oil after oil onto their hair.
And for many hair types, especially fine hair, that's exactly the wrong approach.
What Is Glass Hair?
Glass hair refers to hair that reflects light almost like a mirror.
It's smooth, healthy-looking and incredibly shiny, creating that luxurious finish often seen on celebrities, fashion campaigns and red carpets.
Despite what social media might suggest, glass hair isn't about making your hair oily.
It's about creating a smooth surface that reflects light evenly.
Why Oils Don't Always Work
For coarse or very dry hair, oils can be beneficial.
For fine hair, oily scalps and extensions, they're often a disaster.
Too much oil can:
Flatten volume
Make hair look greasy
Cause extensions to separate
Attract dirt and buildup
Leave hair feeling heavy
I see this every day in the salon.
Clients often think they need more moisture when what they actually need is a lighter finish.
The Secret to Glass Hair
Perfect glass hair starts before styling.
The foundation is:
Healthy Hair
No product can completely disguise severe damage.
Regular trims, good colour maintenance and proper aftercare are essential.
A Smooth Blow-Dry
A polished blow-dry creates the smooth surface required for maximum shine.
I always recommend using tension when blow-drying and directing airflow down the hair shaft.
Lightweight Shine Products
This is where most people go wrong.
Heavy oils create shine temporarily but often sacrifice movement.
I prefer products that enhance shine without coating the hair.
Why I Created Seta Glass Mist
AMBRA Seta Glass Mist was developed specifically for people who want that glass-hair finish without the heaviness.
As someone with fine hair myself, I was tired of luxury products that looked beautiful on social media but left my own hair flat and greasy.
Seta Glass Mist delivers:
Weightless shine
A silky finish
Extension-friendly performance
Smoothness without residue
Everyday wearability
The result is hair that looks expensive rather than oily.
How I Use It in the Salon
For maximum shine:
On Wet Hair
Apply lightly through mid-lengths and ends before blow-drying.
This helps create a smoother finish while enhancing shine.
On Dry Hair
Mist lightly before heat styling and allow it to dry in fully.
Then style as normal.
This creates beautiful reflection without overloading the hair.
The Modern Version of Luxury Hair
Luxury hair today isn't stiff, overloaded or dripping in oil.
It's soft.
It's touchable.
It's healthy-looking.
It's effortless.
Glass hair should still move.
And that's exactly the approach I take with every product I create for AMBRA.
Choosing the Right Hair Extensions for Fine Hair
It All Begins Here
One of the biggest myths in the hair industry is that people with fine hair can't wear extensions.
In reality, fine hair clients are often some of the best extension candidates when the correct method is chosen.
The key isn't simply adding hair.
It's choosing the right amount, the right method and the right application.
Why Fine Hair Needs a Different Approach
Fine hair requires careful planning.
The wrong extension method can:
Feel uncomfortable
Become visible
Create excessive tension
Look bulky at the root
Cause blending issues
The goal should always be natural-looking density rather than obvious length.
What Fine Hair Clients Usually Want
Most of my fine hair clients aren't actually looking for dramatic length.
They're looking for:
Fuller ends
More density
Better styling longevity
Volume around the face
Hair that photographs beautifully
Often, less hair creates a much more luxurious result.
My Favourite Methods for Fine Hair
Volare Weft
Volare Weft is one of my favourite options for fine hair clients.
It lies incredibly flat against the scalp and creates beautiful fullness without excessive weight.
For many clients, it offers the perfect balance between comfort, density and discretion.
Seta Bonds
For clients who need targeted fullness, Seta Bonds can be a fantastic option.
They allow me to place hair exactly where it's needed.
This is particularly useful for:
Filling corners
Correcting previous cuts
Adding density around the face
Creating fullness without a full extension transformation
Lusso Tapes
Tape extensions can also work beautifully for the right fine hair client.
When applied correctly, they create a seamless finish and distribute weight evenly.
The best method always depends on your natural hair density, lifestyle and goals.
The Importance of Hair Quality
The quality of the hair matters just as much as the method.
Luxury hair should:
Blend naturally
Hold colour beautifully
Style easily
Maintain shine
Last with proper care
Poor-quality hair often creates more problems than it solves.
Extension Aftercare for Fine Hair
Fine hair extension wearers need to be particularly careful with product choice.
Heavy oils are one of the most common mistakes I see.
They can:
Cause separation
Make the hair look stringy
Reduce movement
Create unnecessary buildup
Instead, I recommend lightweight products designed to enhance shine without weight.
My Favourite Product for Extension Wearers
AMBRA Seta Glass Mist was developed with extension wearers in mind.
As an extension specialist, I wanted a shine product that delivered a luxury finish without affecting movement or causing separation.
It gives:
Soft shine
Weightless smoothness
Better styling results
Beautiful reflection
Extension-friendly performance
The Most Important Advice
Don't choose extensions based on what worked for somebody else.
Fine hair is incredibly individual.
The best extension transformation always starts with a consultation, a realistic plan and selecting the right method for your hair type.
When done correctly, extensions shouldn't look like extensions.
They should simply look like the hair you wish you were born with.
